Network menu (BN6000N, BN6500N) Follow
You will need the timeclock admin and super admin PIN passcodes to access the timeclock menus. Reach out to the Administrator for your account regarding this information.

To switch between WIFI and LAN, follow these steps (BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network Type.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to LAN or WIFI.
- Press OK to enter your selection.
To turn DHCP on or off, follow these steps (BN6000N, BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network Settings.
- Press OK.
- If set to WIFI, use the up and down arrows to scroll to Edit Network Settings and press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to DHCP.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to On or Off.
- Press OK to enter your selection.
Using the Keypad
To enter letters and symbols, you will need to multitap layers on the keypad using the following instructions.
- Capital Letters (A-Z) > ABC
- Lowercase letters (a-z) > abc
- Numbers (0-9) > 123
- Symbols ? !#$
- Pressing the check symbol (P) button will change the keypad layer displayed on the screen.
- Selecting specific letters will work through multi-tap. An individual letter is selected by repeatedly pressing the same key to cycle through the letters for that key.
- Example: On Layer 1 - to select ‘h’ the user would press the 4 key two times.
- An individual letter will be recorded after 1 second. The user must wait 1 second before entering an additional letter.
- Example: On Layer 1 - after inputting “h,” the user must wait 1 second for the time clock to record the letter before pressing the 3 key once to input “d.”
- Characters can be deleted once the input has been recorded.
To connect to a WIFI network, follow these steps (BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network Settings.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Change WIFI Network.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to the intended WIFI network.
- Press OK to enter your selection.
- Use the keypad (following the on-screen prompts) to enter your WIFI password.
- Press OK to enter your selection.
To forget a WIFI network, follow these steps (BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Select Network Settings.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Edit Network Settings.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Forget this network (WIFI only).
- Press OK.
- Press OK to enter your selection or press ESC to go back.
To access the network settings, follow these steps (BN6000N, BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Select Network Settings.
- Press OK.
- If set to WIFI, use the up and down arrows to scroll to Edit Network Settings and press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to view the settings.

To manually configure the network settings (for a static IP/DHCP off), follow these steps (BN6000N, BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Select Network Settings.
- Press OK.
- If set to WIFI, use the up and down arrows to scroll to Edit Network Settings and press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to access the intended setting.
- SSID (WIFI only) - provided by your network administrator
- DHCP - OFF for manual configuration
- IP Address - provided by your network administrator
- Subnetmask - provided by your network administrator
- Gateway - provided by your network administrator
- DNS - provided by your network administrator
- DNS2 - provided by your network administrator
- MAC (not editable)
- Press OK to enter your selection.
- Configure the information provided by your network administrator.
- Press OK to enter your selection.
- Repeat steps 8-11 for all the network settings.
To check the network connection, follow these steps (BN6000N, BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Check Connection.
- Press OK.
- The device will perform a connection test and display the results on the screen.
- Press OK.
To reset the network settings, follow these steps (BN6000N, BN6500N) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Network.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Reset Network Settings.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to Yes or No.
- Press OK to enter your selection.
