uAttend Payroll - Processing Payroll Follow
With the payroll widget enabled, you can process payroll directly from your web portal dashboard.
Notes:
- All employees should be onboarded before running a payroll. Anyone who is not onboarded will not be paid as a part of the run, even if they have time on their timecard for that pay period.
- The payroll widget is also on the payroll tab.
- A pay run can also be initiated from the Timecard Landing Screen and the Pay Period Report.
- From the payroll widget pay runs can be unlocked, deleted, or resumed.
- If your account uses uAttend Payroll, you cannot make changes to expense codes or settings once a pay run has been started. You must wait until you have finished processing the pay run to make any edits or delete the pay run and begin a new one after making the needed edits.
- If your account uses uAttend Payroll, changes made to expenses on a timecard will be updated once the standard pay run has resumed.
- To collect and organize receipts from your team, it is a good practice to develop a standardized form that includes a field for images your staff can use to submit them to you.
To process payroll for a pay period:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with the administrator profile.
- Scroll to the Payroll Widget on the uAttend dashboard.
- Click Process Payroll.
- All timecard edits must be completed before processing payroll. Complete any needed edits to the timecards before processing payroll.
- Timecard Hours will then display and allow for selection to proceed with the processing of a pay run.
- Review pay code summaries to verify all timecards are accurate and to also deselect anyone you don’t want in the pay run.
- Click Next.
- Check the time-related details for accuracy or to update as needed.
- Click Next.
- Salary Hours will then display and allow for selection to proceed with the processing of a pay run.
- Review pay code summaries to verify all hours are accurate and to also deselect anyone you don’t want in the pay run.
- Click Next.
- Check the time-related details for accuracy or to update as needed.
- Click Next.
- Additional Earnings (for accounts using expenses) will then display and allow for selection to proceed with the processing of a pay run.
- Filter and review expense code summaries to verify all totals are accurate.
- Click Next.
- Check the expense-related details for accuracy or to update as needed.
- Click Next.
- Check the payroll details for accuracy and if everything looks good, click Approve.
- Once the pay run has been approved, click Finish.
