Enable Timecard Approvals on the Employee Profile Follow
Empower your employees to verify, authorize, and ensure the accuracy of their own time cards by enabling the Time Card Approval setting within their profiles. By default uAttend will not allow employees to view their timecard data, however, you do have the option to let them and configure their profile to require them to approve their timecards. This article covers the steps to set up this feature at the employee level, enhancing accountability and fostering trust in your team.
Notes:
- Supervisors can be configured with permissions to view and/or edit employees. Their responsibility can also be limited to certain departments, limiting which employee profiles they can access.
- By default, employees have view-only timecard edit rights.
- The employee will need access to log in to the web portal or smartphone app to approve their timecard.
To configure the permissions for an employee:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the People tab.
- Click on the name of the intended employee or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the window to search for an employee.
- Click the Permissions tab from the navigation panel on the left.
- Click the slider button under View Time Card to Enable the ability to view the timecards for this employee.
- Click the slider button under Time Card Approval to Enable or Disable the requirement to approve timecards for this employee.
- Click the SAVE button.
