Geo-location Restrictions for the Mobile App

This feature to be used in conjunction with the uAttend Smartphone application is a powerful tool for you to use, when configured it will only allow punches from the application to occur within a given range of the addresses listed here, great for use on job sites and out in the field.

Notes:

• Only the account administrator(s) can access the Settings tab. 
• Location services must be enabled to use the mobile app.
• The administrator can configure Smartphone punch permissions at the user level for employees to use this feature.
• This feature is currently only available in the U.S.

To configure a geo-location restriction for the mobile app:

1. Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator profile.
2. Click on the Settings tab.
3. Click the Punch Management tab.
4. Click the Add Geo-locations button in the Geo-locations section.  
5. Enter a Nickname.
6. Enter a Street Address.
7. Enter a City.
8. Click the drop-down menu and select a State.
9. Enter a Nickname.
10. Click the drop-down menu and select a Punch Radius. option (listed below) from the list.
    • Within 1/2 mile of this address
    • Within 1 mile of this address
    • Within 5 miles of this address
    • Within 15 miles of this address
    • Within 30 miles of this address
11. Click the Add Location button.
