Shift Assignments at the department level Follow
View Shifts that you’ve added to the system from the Settings tab and quickly assign staff from the department level. Before assigning shifts at the department level, you will need to add the shift to an account. Once you assign a shift to a department, you can enable the shift at the employee level.
Notes:
- Supervisors can be configured with permissions to view and/or edit departments. Their responsibility can also be limited to certain departments.
- Department-level settings and rules are inherited from the employee's home department.
- Shift schedules and alarms can not be modified at the department level.
To assign a shift at the department level:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the Departments tab.
- Click on the name of the intended department or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the window to search for a department.
- Click the Shifts tab.
- Click the name of the intended Shift to edit.
- Click on the Assignments tab.
- Check/uncheck the boxes to select/deselect the employees assigned this shift.
- Enter a Shift Rate (if applicable) for this shift.
- Click the SAVE AND CLOSE button.
