Timecard Approvals at the Department Level Follow
Timecard Approvals are a great option, once configured any combination you define of Employees, Supervisors, and Administrators can mark the appropriate timecards as approved, a digital timestamp will provide additional confirmation that all hours are accurate prior to submitting to payroll.
Notes:
- Supervisors can be configured with permissions to view and/or edit departments. Their responsibility can also be limited to certain departments.
- Department-level settings and rules are inherited from the employee's home department.
- Timecard approval requirements can also be configured at the user level.
To configure timecard approvals for a department
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the Departments tab.
- Click on the name of the intended department or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the window to search for a department.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click the EDIT button on the line for the Timecard require Admin Approval option (if applicable).
- Click the drop-down menu and select the YES option.
- Click the SAVE button.
- Click the EDIT button on the line for the Timecard require Supervisor Approval option (if applicable).
- Click the drop-down menu and select the YES option.
- Click the SAVE button.
- Click the drop-down menu on the line for the Email Employee When Supervisor Approves option (if applicable) and select the YES option.
- Click the drop-down menu on the line for the Email Employee When Supervisor Unapproves option (if applicable) and select the YES option.
- Click the drop-down menu on the line for the Email Supervisor When Admin Approves option (if applicable) and select the YES option.
- Click the drop-down menu on the line for the Email Supervisor When Admin Unapproves option (if applicable) and select the YES option.
- Click the drop-down menu on the line for the Email Admin When Supervisor Approves option (if applicable) and select the YES option.
