Reset a DR Timeclock to Factory Settings Follow
As the account admin, you will want to be able to effectively manage the timeclocks on your account. This article will walk through factory resetting your DR2000 or DR2500 timeclock. This will reset the device to it's default settings, change the device ID, and remove employee data from the device.
Notes:
- A factory reset will delete any saved offline punches being stored on the device. To transmit those punches, the device must be on an internet connection that does not interrupt communication to our servers.
- There are also settings and features to configure in the cloud portal that relate to your (DR2500, DR2000) timeclock(s).
- You will need your company ID (to find your account) and have access to the administrator email address (to receive an activation code) when adding a new timeclock to your account.
- Verify with your IT department that the timeclock has been allowed free communication (to and from our servers) on all ports and to/from all addresses on the lists in this article.
- It is necessary to use the LAN connection method when resetting your timeclock. After the initial setup, you can relocate the device and your IT department can make any needed provisioning to connect to your WIFI network, network switch, or access point (if applicable).
- This process may update the device ID. You will want to remove previous device IDs from your account.
