Edit Timecards from the uAttend mobile app Follow
From uAttend’s smartphone application you can view and make changes to employee timecards while on the go.
Notes:
- Gross pay is only displayed when an hourly rate is entered on the employee's profile.
- The permission to edit a timecard must be configured by your account administrator. See your administrator to resolve access issues in your profile.
To locate an employee's timecard using the smartphone app:
- Log in to the uAttend web portal.
- Tap the Time Card option to navigate to the timecard page.
- Tap the corresponding box to display employees by name or department.
- Tap the magnifying glass icon (with the View by Employee option selected) to search for an employee or tap the magnifying glass icon (with the View by Department option selected) to search for a department.
- Click on the intended employee’s name to edit their timecards.
- Review the timecard data (listed below) available from the mobile app.
- Totals - Here you will see the total hours worked for the current pay period, as well as any VAC, SIC, or HOL time applied. The total hours are displayed on the right, and the breakdown of where these hours fall by pay code is displayed on the left. You can select the pay period range you wish to view by tapping on the dates at the top of the screen.
- Date - In the date section, you can select a date to see the exact punch times and what type of punches were made. For example, you will see the IN/OUT times, as well as any breaks or lunch periods taken for the day selected. Any notes made on the punches will also be displayed under the punch time. This section is also where you can list any applicable tips or expenses.
- Departments - If the employee worked in multiple departments, the Department section will display the hours worked in each department.
- Accrual - The Accrual section will display any time that falls under the pay code SIC, VAC, or OTH for the date range selected. You will see the total amount Accrued, the amount used in this period, as well as the current available balance.
To edit a timecard entry using the smartphone app:
- Click the date under the Pay Period option to select the intended pay period to edit. The app shows only up to 20 pay periods at a time. If you would like to access older pay periods, click on the earliest dated pay period, wait for it to refresh, and repeat the process until you locate the pay period you want.
- Click the day for the intended day to edit.

Click the pencil icon in the blue circle at the bottom of the screen to edit the punches for that day.
- To edit the department for the punch, tap the Department and select the correct department.

To adjust the time and/or date for the in and/or out punch, tap the time, select the correct time and date, then tap the OK button.

To add a note, click in the field for the Add Note option.
- To add a missing punch, click on the + sign with the blue circle around it at the bottom of the screen and enter the punch details.
- To delete a punch, swipe left on the punch and click the trashcan icon.
- Click the SAVE button to save the edits. Click the CANCEL button to cancel the changes.
Note: The Punch Type can not be edited for an existing punch. A new punch must be added with the intended punch type (break, lunch, etc.) selected and the existing one can be deleted.
