Proxy Server Settings (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) Follow
As the account admin, you will want to be able to effectively manage the timeclocks on your account. The articles here are meant to give you an understanding of the features and functions of your (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) device(s).
Notes:
- There are also settings and features to configure in the cloud portal that relate to your (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) timeclock(s).
- You will need your company ID (to find your account) and have access to the administrator email address (to receive an activation code) when adding a new timeclock to your account.
- Verify with your IT department that the timeclock has been allowed free communication (to and from our servers) on all ports and to/from all addresses on the lists in this article.
To enable proxy server settings, follow these steps (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select COMMSET.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select PROXY SERVER SETTINGS.
- Press OK.
- Press OK to toggle Proxy Enabled on.
- Use the up and down arrows to select PROXY URL.
- Press OK.
- Enter the Proxy URL and press OK.
To enable proxy server authorization and set the username and password, follow these steps:
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select COMMSET.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select PROXY SERVER SETTINGS.
- Press OK.
- Press OK to toggle Proxy Enabled on.
- Use the up and down arrows to select PROXY AUTH.
- Press OK to toggle Proxy Enable on.
- Use the up and down arrows to select USERNAME.
- Press OK.
- Enter the username.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select PASSWORD.
- Press OK.
- Enter the password and press OK.
