Reset to Factory Settings (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) Follow
As the account admin, you will want to be able to effectively manage the timeclocks on your account. When performing a factory reset on a device, the device ID will change. Verify the previous device ID has been removed from your account in the uAttend cloud portal. Click here to review the steps for removing a device from your account. Any fees charged for additional devices (used or unused) are non-refundable.
The articles here are meant to give you an understanding of the features and functions of your (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) device(s).
Notes:
- There are also settings and features to configure in the cloud portal that relate to your (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) timeclock(s).
- You will need your company ID (to find your account) and have access to the administrator email address (to receive an activation code) when adding a new timeclock to your account.
- Verify with your IT department that the timeclock has been allowed free communication (to and from our servers) on all ports and to/from all addresses on the lists in this article.
- It is strongly suggested to use the LAN connection method when resetting your timeclock. After the initial setup, you can relocate the device and your IT department can make any needed provisioning to connect to your WIFI network, network switch, or access point (if applicable).
To reset the device to factory settings, follow these steps. (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400/BN6500) :
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select SYSTEM MANAGEMENT.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS.
- Press OK.
- You will be prompted with the message, "Are You Sure?"
- Press OK.
- Once the device is done rebooting, you will need to onboard the timeclock.
