Can administrators and supervisors clock in and have timecards? Follow
No. Time and attendance are only tracked for users with an employee role. Users with an administrator or supervisor role do not count toward your price plan's active employee limit. To perform the administrator and/or supervisor, and employee role functions; a user will require multiple separate profiles with different profile information (name, email, phone, username, etc.).
Notes:
- Supervisors can be configured with permissions to view and/or edit employees. Their responsibility can also be limited to certain departments, thereby limiting which employee profiles they can access. You may decide to create a department for your supervisors (that is not one of their responsible departments) so they will not have access to edit their own timecards. The administrator (or another supervisor) would have to manage the timecards, etc. for this department.
- There is an additional monthly fee for each additional administrator added to your account. All fees are non-refundable.
- If you have already modified an employee profile's role and lost all their timecard data, you must restore their role to an employee and recalculate their timecards for each pay period (one at a time) to restore the timecard data.
- When creating multiple profiles for a user, it is suggested to use their legal name for their employee profile and their title for their administrator or supervisor profile.
