I forgot or don't know the passcodes to access the timeclock admin menus. Follow
If you have forgotten or misplaced the five-digit administrator passcode or eight-digit super administrator passcodes (also referred to as the passwords or login codes) for your uAttend device, don't worry. An account administrator can locate them in Settings tab of the web portal by following the steps below.
Important Notes
- The passcodes in the web portal are only valid if your device firmware has been updated since mid-2020. You may need to perform a factory reset if your device is not up-to-date and the listed passcodes don't work.
- If you see "53178 " listed as either passcode after following the steps below, it indicates your timeclock is on an older firmware version.
- If the default passcode "53178" was updated and forgotten, a factory reset is likely required.
Locate specific steps for factory resetting your time clock model and any necessary processes by searching this help center. These steps may include additional processes, such as removing the old device ID to avoid being charged for additional time clocks.
To view the passcodes for a specific timeclock on your account:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal as an administrator.
- Click on the Settings tab.
- Click the Punch Management tab.
- Click the EDIT button on the line for the intended timeclock. Do not click the red [x]. Clicking the red [x] will remove the timeclock from the account and it must be factory reset to be re-added to the account.
- The 5-digit Administrator Passcode and 8-digit Super Administrator Passcode will be displayed on that page.
If you are unable to locate the device in the Settings tab, you can use our generic admin passcode: 53178. Please note that this passcode may bring up the option to Factory Reset the device. A factory reset will reset the device to its default settings and it will need to be re-added to the account. You can locate the specific steps for any necessary processes, such as removing the old device ID to avoid being charged for additional timeclocks, using the search function in this Help Center.
