Basic and Contact Information in Profiles Follow
Every profile in your account contains essential details that help keep records up to date and ensure your team's contact information is correct. The Basic and Contact Information sections in the profile allow you to manage profile details such as role, time zone, username, and contact details, while also securely storing sensitive data. Supervisors can be configured with permissions to view and/or edit employees. Their responsibility can also be limited to certain departments, thereby limiting which employee profiles they can access.

To edit the basic information on a profile:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the People tab.
- Click on the name of the intended person or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the window to search for a person.
- In the person's profile, navigate to the Personal subtab.
- Click the data entry field of the information in the Basic, Contact Information, or Residential Address sections as needed.
- Enter or update the necessary information.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
Basic Details Section
In this section, you can edit basic details about the person, such as:
- Name: First, last, and middle name (if applicable). A unique first and last name are required.
- Role: Click the dropdown to adjust the person's role (Administrator, Supervisor, or Employee). Please note that administrators and supervisors profiles do not track time.
- Time Zone: Select the person's time zone from the dropdown menu. The first set of time zones automatically factor in Daylight Savings Time (if applicable).
- Username: Usernames are required for any user logging into the web portal or mobile app and must be unique.
- Birthday: This optional field allows you to enter the person's birth date.
- Gender: This optional field allows you to select the person's gender from the dropdown menu.
- Marital Status: This optional field allows you to track marital status, if necessary.
- Social Security Number: Only the last 4-digits of the social security number are accessible data in uAttend (even when initially entering the data the characters are hidden). This is the intended functionality for this stage of the release. We can't speak about our product roadmap, so be on the lookout for communications and updates from our Marketing team.
- Status: Indicate whether the person is Active, Archived, or Temporarily Inactive. Archiving disables uAttend access but retains their data. Temporarily Inactive users will be archived after 30 days.
Contact Information Section
This section contains communication details including:
- Email Address: An email address is required for any user logging into the web portal or mobile app. It can also be used to email timecards or send alerts and reminders.
- Alerts Email Address: This field is unique to administrators and supervisor profiles to receive uAttend notifications and alerts.
- Phone Number: This is an optional field to enter the person's phone number. Employees can receive text-based alerts and reminders.
- Alerts Number: This field is unique to administrators and supervisor profiles to receive uAttend notifications and alerts with uText.
- Home Number: An addition optional phone number field.
- Work Number: An additional optional phone number field.
Residential Address Section
This section allows you to add a person's address including:
- Street Line 1
- Street Line 2
- City
- State
- Zip Code
The country or region will reflect that of the account. Enter the address in the appropriate areas and select the state from the dropdown menu.
