Archive or reactivate a department Follow
If you no longer need a department, temporarily or otherwise, you can archive it in your account. This might be because of a change in your organization or for a seasonal department or operation. You are not able to fully delete users or departments, but archiving will remove them from your dashboard and reporting. You will want to change the home department for affected employees before archiving a department. You can still filter dashboards or reports to view archived data if needed.

Archive a Department
To archive a department:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the Departments tab.
- Click on the name of the intended department or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the window to search for a department.
- Click the EDIT button on the line for the Status option.
- Click the drop-down menu and select the intended status option (listed below).
- Active
- Archived
- Click the SAVE button.
Unarchive (or Reactivate) a Department
To unarchive a department, follow these steps. :
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the Departments tab.
- Click on the Filter icon and select Archived.
- Click the Unarchive button to restore an archived department from the list on the dashboard.
