View Bank Account Information
Direct deposit details are located in the Job and Pay section of a person's profile.
To view a person's direct deposit details:
- Log in to the account as the payroll administrator.
- Navigate to the People tab.
- Click on the person's name.
- Click Job and Pay in the side menu.
- Click the Payment Method tab at the top of the Job and Pay screen.
If the person has no current bank information, you will see a prompt to add an account. If bank accounts are already on file, they will appear here.
Note: You can add, edit, or remove bank accounts from this screen. Any changes made after a pay run has started will only apply to the next pay run. To apply changes to a pay run already in progress, delete the run, make the necessary updates, and restart it.
Edit or Update Direct Deposit Information
Rather than removing and re-adding a bank account, you can edit the existing account(s) to update any of the following details:
- Bank name
- Account type
- Account number
- Routing number
- Amount or Percentage
To update direct deposit details:
- Expand the account by clicking the dropdown arrow on the right.
- Update any necessary details.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Add a New Bank Account
Employees can have up to ten bank accounts for direct deposit.
To add a new direct deposit account:
- Click Add Bank Account.
- Enter the Bank Name.
- Select the Account Type: Checking or Savings.
- Enter and confirm the Account Number.
- Enter and confirm the 9 digit Routing Number.
- Use the dropdown under Direct Deposit Amount to choose whether to deposit an exact amount ($) or a percentage (%) of the paycheck.
- Enter the amount or percentage of each check to be deposited to the account.
- (Optional) Check Deposit Remaining Balance if this account should receive any leftover pay. See the section on Multiple Bank Accounts for more information.
- Click Save to save the account or click Add Bank Account to add an additional bank account.
Once added, bank account details can be updated by expanding the account and editing the details.
Remove a Bank Account
Deleting bank accounts from a person's profile is permanent. The bank account will not be able to receive payments and bank information will not be retained.
To delete a direct deposit account:
- Expand the account by clicking the dropdown arrow on the right.
- Click the Delete icon.
- Click Confirm.
Multiple Bank Accounts
Employees may want to split their paycheck between multiple accounts. When using multiple accounts:
- You can add up to 10 accounts per person.
- Only one account can be designated to receive the remaining balance. That account will display last after being selected.
- If no account is set to receive the remaining balance, and the total of the fixed amounts or percentages does not equal the full paycheck, the remaining amount will be issued as a physical check.
- Each Direct Deposit Amount, whether a fixed amount or percentage, will be taken from the total amount of the paycheck.
Account Order and Payout Logic
- Bank accounts are paid in the order they appear, from top to bottom, until the paycheck is fully distributed.
- Keep percentage-based accounts at or below 100% to ensure accurate allocation.
To reorder accounts:
- Use the six-dot icon on the left side of each account to drag and drop.
- Click Save to apply the new order.
