Employee Upload Follow
Looking for an easier way to add a lot of employees to your account quickly? All you have to do is have your team prepare a spreadsheet with the basic information for the employees and send it off to our team. Compare this method carefully to the add employee wizard to determine which option is best for you.
Notes:
- The upload method will ONLY add the employee name, department, timezone, payroll ID, hourly rate, username, password, PIN number, and badge number to your account. All other configurations must be done individually for each employee. See the add employee wizard method for a more complete configuration of new employees.
- The Department field has a 40-character limit.
- Allow up to 3 full business days after submitting your upload request for processing.
- Copy the timezone format displayed on an employee profile in the cloud portal.
- Be mindful of accuracy when completing the form. Copy/paste from the portal to minimize errors.
- Submissions with errors may be returned to you for corrections before processing.
To submit an employee upload request:
- Download and open the employee upload form from this article.
- Complete the form with all desired information:
- First Name (Required): Enter the first name of the employee.
- Last Name (Required): Enter the last name of the employee.
- Department (Required): Format the department as it is displayed in the cloud portal. Be sure to add the department to the account prior to submitting the employee upload.
- Time zone (Required): Format the timezone as it is displayed in the cloud portal. Example: (GMT -07:00) Pacific
- Payroll ID (Optional): If you are using a payroll service that assigns a payroll ID to your employees, enter the Payroll ID.
- Hourly Rate (Optional): The hourly rate is used to calculate the estimated gross pay on some reports.
- Username (Optional): Enter a unique username if your employee will log into the web portal or smartphone app.
- Password (Optional): Enter a unique password if your employee will log into the web portal or smartphone app.
- PIN Number (Optional): Enter a unique four-digit PIN if your employee will use a PIN to punch at the timeclock.
- Badge Number (Optional): Enter the unique uAttend RFID badge number located on the back of the badge if your employee will use a badge to punch at the timeclock.
- Save the file using a CSV format. Name the file: uAttend_employee.upload_<insert your company ID>.
- Attach the file in an email addressed to: support@trackmytime.com.
- If you already have an open support ticket for this issue, you can attach the file and reply with the following in the ticket comments instead of composing a new email.
- Enter the following in the subject field: uAttend- Employee Upload Request
- Include the following information in the body of the email (see the example image below):
- Account name:
- Company ID:
- Confirm the required document is attached.
- You should receive a response within 3 business days.
