Change the Admin Password on a CB Timeclock (Super Admin Menu)

As the account admin, you will want to be able to effectively manage the timeclocks on your account. The articles here are meant to give you an understanding of the features and functions of your CB series (CB5000, CB5500, CB6000, CB6400, CB6500) device(s).

Notes:

• There are also settings and features to configure in the cloud portal that relate to your (CB5000, CB5500, CB6000, CB6400/CB6500) timeclock(s).
• You will need your company ID (to find your account) and have access to the administrator email address (to receive an activation code) when adding a new timeclock to your account.
• Verify with your IT department that the timeclock has been allowed free communication (to and from our servers) on all ports and to/from all addresses on the lists in this article.

To change the administrator password on the CB timeclock:

1. Press MENU. 
2. Enter your eight-digit super administrator password. 
   • If this is your first time accessing this menu, enter the default password 31468912 and press OK. You will be prompted to create a new super administrator password. 
3. Use the up and down arrows to select USER MANAGEMENT.
4. Press OK. 
5. Use the down arrow to select CHANGE PASSWORD.
6. Press OK. 
7. Press OK to select RESET ADMIN PASSWORD.
8. You will be prompted with the message, "Are You Sure?"
9. Press OK. 
10. Enter a new five-digit administrator password.
11. Press OK.
12. If successful, you will receive the message, "Changes Saved Successfully!"
