Account Name and Company ID

It’s your account so you get to name it!  Within your account, there are a few different name fields, and each one serves a different purpose. You can update these as needed, but it's important to choose the correct field based on how the name will be used. 

Account Name and Company ID

The account name and company ID are always displayed toward the upper right corner of every page in the uAttend cloud portal (as pictured below). The Workwell support team will need your account name and company ID to assist you with any requests.  Please have this information handy and include it in your request when contacting support.

Account Name

Your account name is set when you first create your account. This is the general name used across your account and appears on items like reports, schedules, invoices, and time cards. This name can be updated at any time and does not impact uAttend payroll features, such as tax filings. 

Company ID

Your company ID is a unique identifier assigned by uAttend when your account is created and is not editable. It is used when adding devices to your account, signing in to the mobile app, and contacting support.

Legal Company Name and Company Trade Name (DBA)

If you use uAttend Payroll services, you will also have a legal company name and a company trade name (DBA). These are set during payroll onboarding and will appear in your account once payroll has been set up.

Legal Company Name

Your legal company name is your official business name. This name is used for payroll processing and tax documents, so it should match your legal or government records.

Company Trade Name (DBA)

Your company trade name (DBA) is the name your business operates under publicly. This may be different from your legal company name. For example, a business might have a legal name like 'Smith Holdings, LLC' but operate as 'Smith's Landscaping'. 

Edit Your Account Name, Company Name, or DBA

All company name fields can be updated in the same area of your account.

⚠️Important: Changes to your legal company name or trade name will affect payroll and tax documents, so it's important to make sure this information is accurate before saving any changes.

To edit your account name, legal company name, or company trade name:

1. Log in to the uAttend cloud portal as an administrator.
2. Click on your name or profile avatar in the upper right corner of the window.
3. Select My Account from the menu.
4. Click EDIT on the line of the name you want to update.
5. Update the name in the field.
6. Click SAVE.

Note: After saving, & will change to and and any special characters will be removed.
