Onboard a JR Time Clock Follow
This articles applies to the following models: JR2000, JP2000, NX2000.
This guide walks you through adding JR2000, JP2000, or NX2500 time clocks to your account. As an account administrator, you’ll need to ensure each device is properly connected and activated so you can manage time tracking effectively.
Your base subscription includes two time clocks. Additional devices can be added for an additional monthly fee. Follow the steps below to onboard a new time clock and confirm it’s ready for use.
Important Notes
- Company ID & Admin Email: Have your company ID ready and ensure you have access to the administrator email address on file when adding a new time clock to your account. The admin email will receive the activation code needed during setup.
- Network Access: Verify with your IT department that the time clock has been allowed free communication to and from our servers on all ports and to/from all addresses on the lists in this article.
- LAN Connection: We strongly recommend using a LAN (Ethernet) connection when onboarding your time clock. After the initial setup, you can relocate and wall-mount the device. Your IT team can make any needed provisioning to connect to your WIFI network, network switch, or access point (if applicable).
- Email Authentication Code: Confirm your admin profile has the correct email address to receive the authentication code during onboarding. If the email is not received at your domain address, try another address (like a Gmail), resend the code from the time clock (to proceed with the setup), and reach out to your systems administrator to review your domain email security settings that may be filtering the authentication email.
To connect a JR2000, JP2000, or NX2500 time clock to your account:
- Connect an ethernet cable to the time clock with the other end connected directly to your router.
- Connect the power supply and plug it into a power outlet.
- Tap the Get Started button.
- Enter your Company ID and tap the Next button.
- Open the email sent to all administrators on your account to retrieve the authentication code.
- Tap the Enter Code button.
- Enter the authentication code and tap the Next button or tap the Resend Code button (after updating the administrator email address to an address you have access to) to complete this step.
- Verify your company name is displayed and tap the Next button.
- Select the Time Zone for the location this device will be installed.
- Enter a 5-digit admin PIN that will be used to access the device menus on this time clock.
- Tap the Done button.
