Edit an Existing Schedule Follow
Editing existing schedules is straightforward with the uAttend Scheduling feature. Both supervisors and administrators can easily save a schedule by navigating away from the schedule or using the Save and Preview button. Draft and published schedules can be updated in the Scheduling tab of the uAttend Portal. Users may want to edit a single shift or update shift assignment to reflect new, accurate information. Whether you need to accommodate additional coverage or update shift details, this article provides clear instructions to ensure your scheduling needs are met effectively.

Locating Saved Schedules
Saved schedules are located in the Schedules page of the Scheduling tab. Administrators can view all saved schedules; supervisors are only able to view schedules they have created.
To open a saved schedule:
- Select the Scheduling tab in your uAttend account.
- Select the Schedules sub-tab.
- Use the the left arrow to expand and view All Schedules, current or past.
- Select the schedule from the left navigation panel.
If the Schedule selected does not show a Publish button, this means that this Schedule has already been published. The status of a Schedule is also displayed underneath the Schedule name after selecting the left arrow (shown below).
From here you can:
- Update the name of the schedule.
- Add a shift to the schedule.
- Edit a shift on the schedule.
- Edit the schedule by clicking the Edit icon on the top right.
- Delete the schedule clicking the Delete icon on the top right.
- Publish the schedule by clicking the Publish button. This option will not be available if the schedule has already been published.
Add a Shift to a Schedule
Quickly adjust your schedule to add additional coverage to meet your staffing needs by adding shifts directly to your schedule. These shifts added to individual schedules will not be applied to your Shift Templates, allowing you to quickly and effectively customize schedules.
To add a single shift to the selected schedule:
- While on a schedule, click the the Add Shift button.
- Select the Date of the shift.
- Select the Position of the employee(s) that will work this shift.
- Enter the start/end times of the shift.
- Select the number of Employees Needed for this shift.
- Click Add Shift.
- If editing a published schedule, a confirmation dialog box will be displayed. Select Continue to save the new shift.
Edit a Single Shift on a Schedule
When you need to adjust just one shift, not the shift template, you can do so directly from the preview. This allows your schedule to be as flexible and up to date as your company needs.
To edit an existing shift on the selected schedule:
- While on a schedule, click the shift you wish to edit.
- Click the Edit icon to update the shift times or the number of employees needed for the shift and click Save.
- To assign an additional employee(s) to this shift, click the Edit icon in the top right of the page to navigate and edit your schedule.
