Transfer Fingerprint Templates Between BN Timeclocks Follow
Transferring fingerprint templates to like model BN series timeclock (BN5000, BN5500, BN6000, BN6400, BN6500) is a two-step process started in the uAttend portal and completed on the individual device(s).
Notes:
- Templates are not transferrable between legacy models (1000 and 2000 series) and current models (5000 and 6000 series).
- Fingerprint templates for JR series timeclocks are not transferrable with templates for a BN series timeclock.
- This process is not required for templates that were registered on a JR Series timeclock, as templates are automatically transferred to new JR timeclocks added to your account.
- You will be required to complete the biometric data disclosure before accessing this feature.
- The steps in this article will upload the templates. Follow the steps in the linked article to Download templates to the device.
Step 1: Select the Templates to Transfer from the Account
To select fingerprint templates to transfer:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the People tab.
- Click the Manage Fingerprint Templates button toward the upper right corner.
- Complete the biometric data disclosure form (if displayed).
- Click the drop-down menu and select the intended timeclock to transfer templates to.
- Check the box(es) for the intended template(s) to transfer.
- Click the Submit button.
- Repeat steps 5-7 for additional timeclocks (if applicable).
- Complete the transfer on the intended device(s) following the steps on screen or in this article.
Step 2: Download the Templates to the (New) BN Timeclock
To download fingerprint templates to a BN timeclock:
- Press the MENU key.
- Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
- Press OK.
- Select USER MANAGEMENT.
- Press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to scroll to TEMPLATE MANAGEMENT.
- Press OK.
- Select DOWNLOAD TEMPLATES.
- Press OK.
- If you receive a "DNS Error" message with a red background, check your network connection, then try again.
- If successful, you will receive a "Success" message with a green background.
