The Payroll Widget Follow
Quickly an easily process payroll using the Payroll widget. You can process payroll in the payroll tab or directly from your web portal dashboard. This article will walk you through how to enable the widget on your dashboard as well as how to move it so it is exactly where you want it when you need it.
This widget is only available for accounts using uAttend Payroll. If you'd like more information about uAttend Payroll, check out this article.
Important Notes Regarding the Payroll Widget
- The Payroll widget is only available for the designated payroll administrator on the account.
- While using the payroll widget, pay runs can be unlocked, deleted, or resumed.
- If your account uses uAttend Payroll, you cannot make changes to expense codes or settings once a pay run has been started. You must wait until you have finished processing the pay run to make any edits or delete the pay run and begin a new one after making the needed edits.
- If your account uses uAttend Payroll, changes made to expenses on a timecard will be updated once the standard pay run has resumed.
- To collect and organize receipts from your team, it is a good practice to develop a standardized form that includes a field for images your staff can use to submit them to you.
To enable the Payroll widget on the uAttend dashboard:

Log in to the uAttend cloud portal as the payroll administrator.
- Click the Customize Dashboard button on the upper-right side of the page.
- Click the slider button to enable the Payroll widget.
- Click, hold, drag, and drop the handles
to rearrange the order the widgets are displayed on your dashboard.
- Click the SAVE button.
Using the Payroll Widget
Whether you're on the dashboard or the Payroll tab, you can use the payroll widget to start a standard pay run, unlock a pay period, resume payroll, or delete a pay run.
