2-Step Verification Prompts Every Log In Follow
If you are being asked to complete 2-step verification each time you log in, it's usually caused by one of the following:
1. 2-Step Verification Settings
There's an option that determines how often you need to reverify. If it is set to require verification each time you log in, you will continue to be prompted on every login.
To confirm your 2-step verification reset cycle:
- Log in to the uAttend web portal as an account administrator.
- Click on your profile icon in the top right and select My Account.
- Locate the Security section in the Overview tab.
- Locate and verify the 2-Step Verification Reset Cycle setting.
2. Using a Different Device
Each device you log in from is treated separately. If you switch between devices (like from a laptop to a phone), you will need to complete the 2-step verification on each.
3. Cache and Cookies
If you are using the same device and still getting prompted every time, your browser might not be saving your login data.
- Make sure your browser allows cookies and is not set to clear cache or cookies automatically when you close it.
- Some browsers have auto-clear features. If enabled, these settings prevent the browser from remembering your device.
- If you're using private or incognito mode, the browser won't save any login data.
Once your settings, device, and browser are set up correctly, 2-step verification should only appear as often as your preferences allow.
