Shift Exception Report Follow
uAttend's Shift Exception Report is a great resource to provide an overview of punches that occurred outside of the shift rules you have defined in the Shifts feature, such as late arrivals, or early-outs. This is a great report to monitor punctuality and tardiness, but it will not flag absences on a day where no punches occurred.
Notes:
- All reports will export in a .CSV format by default.
- Use the print option and select the Print to PDF option (if available on your device) in the print dialogue.
- Supervisors will only see data from their responsible departments on reports.

Why Is My Shift Exception Report Empty?
If your Shift Exception Report does not show any data, this is usually expected and related to how shift exceptions are tracked.
Keep in mind:
- Shift alarms are required. The Shift Exception Report only displays data for shifts that have alarms enabled.
- The report is not retroactive. Exceptions will only appear for punches that occur after alarms are created. Data from dates before alarms were enabled will not display.
- Punches must fall outside the shift schedule. If employees punch in and out within the configured shift start and end times, no exceptions will be generated.
- Data may take up to 15 minutes to appear. Shift exceptions are processed on a short delay, so newly created exceptions may not show immediately.
If you recently enabled alarms, allow time for new punches to occur outside the shift schedule before running the report again.
