Add a New Shift Follow

Use uAttend’s Shift feature to help you accomplish several handy tasks, setting a pay differential for your employees that work the night shift, or receiving alerts for punches that occur before or after a defined threshold such as more than 10 minutes late, or 10 minutes early. Add a Shift in the shift section of the account, then assign it to department and employees. This article will cover how to add a shift. 

Notes:

  • Only the account administrator(s) can access the Settings tab. 
  • Refunds are not granted for "unused" features, devices, users, or services. See the End User License Agreement.
  • Additional fees apply for the use of uText notifications.
  • The email addresses/phone numbers used must be unique.

To add a shift for your account:

  1. Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator profile.
  2. Click on the Settings tab.
  3. Click the Shifts tab.
  4. Click the Add Shift button.
  5. Enter a Name and Code for this shift.
  6. Click on the Schedule tab.
  7. Check/uncheck the box(es) to select/deselect the day(s) to schedule this shift.
  8. Enter a Start Time and End Time for each day selected.
  9. Click the drop-down menu for Is this a night shift? and select Yes if the shift spans the day change time.
  10. Click on the Assignments tab.
  11. Check/uncheck the box(es) to select/deselect the department or employee(s) assigned this shift.
  12. Click on the Alarms tab.
  13. Click the drop-down menu for Early In and select an option (1-60 minutes) from the list.
  14. Click the drop-down menu for Late In and select an option (1-60 minutes) from the list.
  15. Click the drop-down menu for Early Out and select an option (1-60 minutes) from the list.
  16. Click the drop-down menu for Late Out and select an option (1-60 minutes) from the list.
  17. Enter the email address(es) and/or mobile phone number, along with a timeframe to mute (if applicable) for these alarm notifications.
  18. Check the boxes to enable the Missing Break Punch and/or Missing Lunch Punch alarms.
  19. Enter the email address(es) and/or mobile phone number, along with a timeframe to mute (if applicable) for these alarm notifications.
  20. Click one of the save button options (listed below). 
    • SAVE AND NEXT
    • SAVE AND CLOSE
