Archive or Temporarily Inactivate Multiple People Follow
While you cannot permanently delete employee, supervisor, and administrator profiles to preserve critical punch and profile data, you can update the person's status to Inactive or Temporarily Inactive. This ensures their records remain retrievable while restricting system access.
If you need to delete or remove multiple people, with the bulk Edit Status option, you can easily archive or set multiple people to inactive with just a few clicks. This tool saves time by allowing you to update user statuses in bulk, making it ideal for managing large teams.
The information in this article applies to accounts using uAttend Payroll. Archiving or temporarily archiving a person will remove them from payroll.

Notes:
- Archiving or temporarily deactivating a user automatically purges biometric data.
- This feature can be used to archive users who do not have a username or email address listed on their profile.
- Supervisors can be configured with permissions to view and/or edit employees. Their responsibility can also be limited to certain departments, thereby limiting which employee profiles they can access.
- Be aware of the employee range of your price plan when removing employees. You must edit your price plan after removing employees below the range of your current plan.
- Refunds are not granted for "unused" features, devices, users, or services. See the End User License Agreement.
To bulk edit the status of people:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal as an administrator or supervisor (with permissions).
- Click on the People tab.
- Select the check box next to the name of each person whose status you want to update.
- Click the Edit Status button in the upper-left of the page.
- Select the status you want to apply to the selected people: Active, Archived, or Temporarily Inactive.
- If you are archiving users, click Confirm to continue. If you are setting users to active, you may need to complete the Biometric Data Disclosure form.
