Update Time Zone on an RE2000 Time Clock

Setting the correct time zone on your RE2000 time clock ensures accurate punch records and prevents discrepancies in timecard reporting. You can adjust the time zone directly from the device using the administrator menu. Follow the steps below to choose the correct time zone for your location.

You will need the time clock admin and super admin passcodes to access the time clock menus.  Reach out to the Administrator for your account regarding this information.

To update the time zone on an RE2000:

1. Press MENU.
2. Enter the five-digit administrator passcode.
3. Press OK.
4. Scroll down once to Device. 
5. Press OK.
6. Scroll down to Time Settings.
7. Press OK. 
8. Press OK to select to Time Zone. 
9. Use the up and down arrows to scroll to the intended time zone option.
10. Press OK to enter your selection.

Note about Daylight Saving Time

Some RE2000 time zone options automatically adjust for Daylight Saving Time (DST). These usually appear as named time zones that commonly observe DST, such as:

• (GMT -07:00) Mountain
• (GMT -06:00) Central
• (GMT -05:00) Eastern
• (GMT -04:00) Atlantic

Exception: (GMT -07:00) Arizona does not adjust for DST.

Time zones that do not adjust for DST also appear as GMT offsets only (no region name), such as:

• (GMT -03:30)
• (GMT -03:00)
• (GMT -02:30)

If your region observes DST, choose a named time zone that observes DST.
