Test the Audio on an RE2000 Time Clock

If you need to confirm that sound is working correctly on the RE2000, the device includes a built‑in audio test within the super administrator menu. This tool lets you play sample tones to verify that alerts and key sounds can be heard as expected. Follow the steps below to run an audio test on the time clock.

You will need the time clock admin and super admin passcodes to access the time clock menus.  Reach out to the Administrator for your account regarding this information.

To test the sound on an RE2000 time clock:

1. Press MENU.
2. Enter your eight-digit super administrator passcode*.
3. Press OK.
4. Press OK to select Device Management.
5. Press OK to select Diagnostics.
6. Scroll down to Test Audio.
7. Press OK. 
8. Use the up and down arrows to test the sound.
9. Press OK when finished or press ESC to go back.

*If this is your first time accessing this menu, enter the default password 31468912 and press OK. You will be prompted to create a new super administrator password.
