Deleting and Editing Punches on a Timecard Follow
Easily edit or remove timecard punches and events in uAttend with a few short clicks. Watch this short video to learn how! You can also scroll further down this article for written instructions.
Notes:
- You can configure supervisor profiles on your account to allow them to edit timecards for their responsible departments.
- If Department Transfers are enabled, the department dropdown will display all departments, even when a supervisor edits a time card.
- You can configure employee profiles on your account to allow them to edit their own timecards.
- Use the Batch Report to manage timecards in bulk.
- Deleted punches are permanently removed and non-retrievable.
Edit a Punch
You can edit any event, including punches and benefit time, and add notes directly from the employee's timecard.
To a edit punch or event on a timecard:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal as an administrator or supervisor (with permissions).
- Click the Timecards tab.
- By default, the current pay period will be displayed. Click the Arrows around the date range or click on the date range and select a pay period from the list to display the timecard data from different pay periods.
- Click on the name of an employee from the list or use the click search icon toward the upper right corner to find a specific employee.
- Make the intended edits for the editable options (listed below).
- Times and dates
- Optional notes
- Department (if department transfer is enabled for the employee)
- Job number, and if applicable the job detail number
- Benefit type
- Click the SAVE button.
- click the Recalculate button at the bottom right of a timecard.
Delete a Punch
If you need to remove a punch or a benefit from a timecard, such as when removing a duplicate punch, you can do so from the timecard. Please note, the information is not retrievable after it is deleted.
To delete a punch or event on a timecard:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal as an administrator or supervisor (with permissions).
- Click the Timecards tab.
- By default, the current pay period will be displayed. Click the Arrows around the date range or click on the date range and select a pay period from the list to display the timecard data from different pay periods.
- Click on the name of an employee from the list or use the click search icon toward the upper right corner to find a specific employee.
- Click the DELETE icon on the line for the intended event to delete an event from the timecard.
- Click the SAVE button.
- Click the Recalculate button at the bottom right of a timecard.
