Send an Email or Text Notification when an Employee Punches Follow
Maybe your busy schedule keeps you away from your computer, yet you still want to be notified when someone clocks in or out. uAttend's versatile notification system can keep you informed via email or text, here’s how to set that up.
Notes:
- Supervisors can be configured with permissions to view and/or edit employees. Their responsibility can also be limited to certain departments, thereby limiting which employee profiles they can access.
- Additional fees apply for the use of uText notifications.
- Refunds are not granted for "unused" features, devices, users, or services. See the End User License Agreement.
- The email addresses/phone numbers used must be unique.
- This feature only sends notifications for clocking in and out; it does not notify for lunch or break punches.
To send a notification (email and/or text) when an employee punches:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal with an administrator or supervisor (with permissions) profile.
- Click on the People tab.
- Click on the name of the intended employee or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the window to search for an employee.
- Click the More tab from the navigation panel on the left.
- Click the EDIT button in the People Settings section.
- Click the EDIT button on the line for the Notify Of Punch by Email option.
- Click the drop-down menu and select YES.
- Enter the email address for this notification.
- Click the SAVE button.
- Click the EDIT button on the line for the Notify Of Punch by uText option.
- Click the drop-down menu and select YES.
- Enter the mobile phone number for this notification and enter a timeframe to mute this notification (if applicable).
- Click the SAVE button.
