Shift Report Follow
The Shift Report provides administrators and supervisors a breakdown of employee hours as they correlate to the shifts and shift codes configured in your account. This report is helpful for reviewing how hours fall within each shift and validating shift-based pay.
Notes:
- This report can only display gross pay data for employees you have entered an hourly rate for.
- Supervisors with the necessary permissions will see data for any employee assigned to their responsible departments.
- Administrators will see data for all employees on the account.
To run a shift report:
- Log in to the uAttend cloud portal as an administrator or supervisor.
- Click the Reports tab.
- Select the Shift Report.
- Adjust the date range if necessary.
- Use the Departments drop-down to select which departments to include.
- Update the Shift Code drop-down to select specific pay codes.
- Use the Status drop-down to filter for active employees, archived employees, or both.
- Change the View to view hours by shift and/or gross pay.
- Print, email, or download the report.
Filter the Report
The Shift Report includes several filtering options to narrow results.
Date Range
Click the Date Range to select one of the preset options or choose a custom start and end date.
- Last 7 Days
- Last 1 Month
- Last 6 Months
- Last 1 Year
- This Month
- This Year
- The Previous Month
- Date Range: Select a custom start and end date using the calendar.
- Reset: Resets the report back to the current pay period.
Departments
By default, all departments will be selected.
Click the Departments drop-down to select which departments to include in the report.
Shift Codes
By default, all shift codes are included.
Click All Codes, then check/uncheck specific codes to refine the results.
Employee Status
Click the Employee Status drop-down to select which employees to include in the report:
- Active
- Archived
- Active and Archived
Change the View
The Change View drop-down includes two columns: View Hours By and View Data By. You can use these options together to change how the Shift Report is organized and what type of totals it displays.
View Hours By Shift Code or Employee
Shift Code: Groups the report by shift and any employee who worked hours in a shift is listed under it. If an employee worked in multiple shifts, they will appear under each shift where they recorded hours.
Employee: Groups the report by employee appears with their hours broken out by shift code.
View Data By Total Hours or Gross Pay
Total Hours: Shows the total hours worked per pay code and the grand total of all hours in the report.
Gross Pay: Shows the gross pay per pay code as well as grand totals (pay) for employees with an hourly rate. Employees without an hourly rate still appear, but pay fields will be blank.
Export or Email the Report
Print: Click the Print icon at the top of the report to print the report or save as a PDF file.
Email: Click the Email icon at the top of the report and select or enter the email address of who should receive the report, separating email addresses with a comma, including an optional message if desired.
Download: Click the Download icon at the top of the report to export a spreadsheet. All data will appear in a single sheet (formatting may vary based on your software settings).
- All reports will export in a .CSV format by default.
